Here we have a First Edition, First Printing of “Mince Pie: Adventures on the Sunny Side of Grub Street, ” by Christopher Morley. Doran, New York, 1919. Includes a tipped-in signed handwritten letter from the author affixed to the front endpaper. Book is in Very Good condition. First printing confirmed by two typos: “a copy of” on page vii, and “shrewdly minded” on page 49. This book was previously in the collection of David McCord, Boston poet and Harvard University fundraiser, to whom the letter is addressed. In it, Christopher Morley wants him to know he’ll be trying to obtain him a copy of his upcoming book (Where the Blue Begins). Bound in beige paper on the boards, light brown cloth on the side. Cover has some light smudging and soiling. Small rough patch on rear pastedown where a label was removed. Interior pages clean and unmarked.
